The scale can start on any one tone and proceeds up or down the scale's 12 tones ending on the original type tone. This includes all sharps and flats.

The tones of the chromatic scale are represented by Roman Numerals. There are & Roman Numerals used to include;

I II III IV V VI VII VIII.

Sharps and flats are used to round out the other four tone as seen above.
